| The Story |
This home is being built near the Neuse River in Eastern North Carolina. In this area the high water table prevents the digging of basements, and Enertia homes are built with a bermed basement.
The kit construction is complete on the main level. The area shown (north west corner) will be the kitchen in this mirror-imaged floor plan.
 | | | The kitchen will be in the northwest corner (right) of this mirror-imaged Horizon floorplan. The main level master bedroom will be on the East side (right).
|
 | | | The inside of the North Wall can be seen in this image taken from the window openings in the kitchen.
The open space in the floor beam construction is for the stairway. |
 | | | This is the Sunspace, which is a "dogleg" in this model. It consists of a 3'6" deep Gallery section (left) and a 5'6" deep Sunspace section. The living room opens to the Gallery, and the master bedroom opens to the Sunspace. |
 | | | The kit is nearing completion on the upper level. The next timbers on the East and West ends of the house will have angled cuts on their South ends to begin to form the gable ends that establish the angled roof line. This floor can be finished with two bedrooms, or one bedroom and a loft. |
 | At this point the gable ends are starting to taper on the East and West ends of the house. |
 | A metal roof is the perfect top for a home with the longevity of an Enertia home. |
 | | | A canal leading to the main river runs directly behind the house. Maybe we'll go fishing on our next visit to the site. |
